Raising the quality of care.
Joining Forces is calling on all health professionals to be aware of the specific health issues facing our military, veterans and their families. By expanding our core knowledge, NPs can better identify opportunities to enhance the health and wellness of this distinct population and more effectively address their unique clinical challenges — ultimately providing a higher quality of care.
Many of our service members return from duty with debilitating injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), depression, and other challenges. To educate NPs on these issues and how best to care for America’s military families, AANP is compiling a growing body of knowledge. Be sure to check back regularly, as we will be adding more valuable information in the future.
